INTRODUCTION  

In the prevalent social order around the globe, domestic hostility is prominent and flaming. Obliviously this menace is persisting in all walks of life and is erupting intensely right at the entrance of our residence. Moreover, behind closed doors of homes, people are being tormented, besieged, man handled and slay others.

 The occurrence of domestic hostility is prevalent in rural areas, towns, cities and in metropolitans as well. Subsequently this menace has deep roots in all communities, class, gender, races and in all age groups.

Undoubtedly the legacy of domestic hostility is being passed from time immemorial. Obviously “ young brides being harassed for money), “ girl child  succumbs to injuries infuriated  by parents”, “A seventy year old woman being  slayed over property dispute”,. A husband being mentally harassed and mounting anxiety is also amounting to domestic hostility.  

Importantly, when we turn on the news media, one would find reports of violence in various forms, around the globe. Besides, there are occurrences of numerous cases which are not being reported. In fact, this embraces the cases in which self-indulgence or to the people who are witness in the society, but we are reluctant in taking single steps to curb the menace of occurrence of domestic hostility.

Indeed engulfed with the predicament of violence within our dwelling is amounting to domestic hostility, the hardest truth is the menace is being infuriated to those who are close in a relationship (wife, husband, son, daughter, mother, father, grandparent, maid, and other family member). It can be a male’s or a female’s atrocities towards one and another, being a victim and a victimizer. In contrast this hostility transcends to various forms of domestic hostility amounting to physical, sexual or emotional.

CONCLUSIVE SUGGESTIONS

Since times immemorial, domestic hostility has been an intrinsic part of society. In addition the factors contributing could be the aspiring to gain dominance over another family member, the quest to exploit someone for personal benefits, flare the ego to be in an authoritative position to showcase one’s supremacy. On different occasions, psychosomatic evils and social manipulation are also ingredients of vehemence.The prevailing forms are domestic hostility prevalent around the world.

Their root causes for the occurrence of domestic hostility in households has to be analyzed emphatically and remedial measures to be taken by stakeholders. The variation in the degree of violence, with change in the geographical region and culture has to be addressed. Notably, with this juxtaposition of facts and figures in hand, the repercussions of various kinds of domestic hostility and the possible remedies have to be dealt with, in truth and spirit, to make this world a better place to rejoice, rejuvenate, reckon and reside.
